Dr. Murphy’s practice, Westlake Oral Surgery and Implant Center, is located in Westlake, Ohio. Born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Canfield, Ohio, Dr. Murphy earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University in Illinois in 1983. He then completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center, obtaining his license from the Ohio State Dental Board for General Anesthesia during this time. A Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he is fellow member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International College of Dentists, and the American Society of Dental Anesthesia.

Thomas P. Murphy, DDS, attended Loyola University School of Dental Medicine, and received his medical degree in 1983. Furthermore, he conducted his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Murphy received board certification in internal medicine from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He remains a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and Fellow of the American Society of Dental Anesthesia. He is a member of the Great Lakes Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Pierre Fauchard Academy (Honorary Dental Society). Dr. Murphy is Past President of the Ohio Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Outside his professional commitments, he dedicates to skiing, hiking, golfing, playing basketball, and he is an avid cook who enjoys collecting fine wine and pairing them with gourmet foods.
